As a therapist, I endeavour to be authentic, caring and compassionate with all of my clients. My practice provides clients with Trauma Informed Care and I use the strategies and proven methods of Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Gabor Mate's Compassionate Inquiry Methods and the “Depth” approach of Existential Psychology.
Existential Psychologists believe that while it’s important to identify and try to change the symptoms that come with mental health issues, life and relationship issues, addictions and other psychological dilemmas --- we also need to go deeper and delve into how a person defines and understands their life and existence --- exploring their deeply held values and belief systems and even the deeper existential issues of our mortality, freedom, responsibility and what it means to be human.
