Practice Description
At our Barking C.A.A.T. Ranch (Center for Animal Assisted Therapy), we provide more than counseling. We have created an environment where growth and change can occur as soon as you step onto the property. Clients and their families freely interact with our trained and Certified therapy animals, both in and out of sessions. Our staff of Licensed and Professional Counselors and Therapists each has years of experience in their areas of expertise, and have received extra training and Certification in Animal Assisted Therapy. While we provide traditional counseling and psychotherapy, we integrate animals into the therapeutic process whenever it is appropriate. This can make counseling more interactive, interesting and motivating for clients of all ages. Sessions take place in our offices, playroom, or out in the arena, gazebo, or even walking the quiet neighborhood. We offer an alternative to sterile counseling offices, while still providing the highest level of counseling and psychotherapy services.
