Dr. Irina Banfi-Mare Practice Description

Whether you are new to therapy or have gone through it before, asking for help involves courage to be vulnerable and face difficult feelings. Therapy can help you become more self-aware, more in control of your emotions, improve your relationships, and make better sense of your experiences. We will identify what you want to change in a way that is realistic and makes sense to you. I will encourage your capacity for growth, help you build and use your strengths, and work with you to overcome the barriers that prevent you from reaching your goals.

I work with individual adults, older adolescents, and couples. The most common concerns I work with are stress, anxiety, depression, anger, grief, low self-esteem, and relationship probelms. Clarifying your goals for therapy significantly increases the chance that you'll get where you want to go quickly and without wasting time. I practice feedback-informed treatment, which means we regularly track therapeutic progress and your satisfcation wtih therapy so that you get the most out of every session. Check out my website www.thecolroadocenter.com for more details and to view brief videos of me discussing my approach. My standard fee is $125 but I do provide a temporary sliding scale for some clients, depending on financial need.
