Relationships depend on mutual respect. The value of family life, marriage of loving and stable relationships in bringing up children is central to relationships. Rights and responsibilities underpin relationships for self and others. Commitment to safety and wellbeing is important to consider in forming a familial relationship. Gender equality has to be considered but outside factors influence this. It’s important to consider diversity. Violence and coercion are unacceptable in any relationship and is a legal issue.

If you have a partner, sometimes they will want to be with someone else. Don’t worry, they don’t have the same relationship as they do with you, if you are attracted. Its a psychological illusion that your partner appears to be cheating on you!

In any relationship there are good days and bad days. It’s important to remember it’s YOU that’s in control of how that relationship goes. If you are unhappy with the way things are going perhaps it’s time to invest some quality  time on being altruistic within that relationship. Remember, everyone is an individual person and do things differently so it’s important to wait for the person in your life and listen carefully to what they say. It’s not the end of the world if they have different views and it’s important to consider carefully your position when giving a response to what they say. It’s great to seek a compromise!
