Insomnia and disrupted sleep can be so frustrating, painful, and affect so many other aspects of life. The good news is there are quick, effective to return you to quality sleep.
Sleep problems like insomnia and chronic nightmares can be treated, without drugs. If you've been offered only medication or "sleep hygiene", you have not been given the most effective approach to sleep well.
It's a detailed process I'll coach and support you through. If you do the work, I can say that since I started my practice, people who follow the process and guidelines get back to better sleep. (Those who don't follow the process don't get better.) My role is to get you back to quality sleep in the most effective, efficient way that science gives us.
Quality sleep = higher quality life, and you can have that. Call 720-551-8444 for a quick phone consult, and if it's the right fit, we can get started.

Treatment Approach
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
- Behavioral Therapy Uses learning techniques like reinforcement and practice to change unwanted behaviors. It is often applied to phobias, anxiety, and habits.
- Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) Builds skills in self-kindness and compassion toward others. It is especially helpful for people who struggle with shame or self-criticism.
Approach Description: Behavioral therapy for sleep problems (CBT-I, BBT-I, TRANS-C), supplemented with ACT and Compassion-Focused Therapy. I also help my clients who have medical sleep problems to navigate sleep doctor appointments, adjust to using CPAP, and to explore alternatives.

I offer both online and in-person sleep therapy.
I do not do long-term therapy, because sleep problems can be resolved in 5-15 sessions, if you follow the detailed process I'll coach you through. We'll look at bedtime and wake time habits, behavior changes, thoughts and feelings about sleep, and how to be gentle and kind to yourself as you undertake this process. Resolving sleep problems does require effort on your part, and I'm here to support you through that, to get your sleep better in the quickest, most efficient way I know.
Many people don't know that there's such a thing as a sleep therapist. Yes, we're out there - mental health professionals specifically trained in how to treat insomnia, chronic nightmares, shift work and circadian rhythm problems, and to support and guide you in getting help for any medical sleep issues, such as sleep apnea or narcolepsy, or hormonal issues that attend menopause.
