Alison Chisholm Practice Description
At Collectivus Psychotherapy, I provide specialized support for individuals and couples navigating the complexities of fertility, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and parenting. Whether you are planning a family, adjusting to new parenthood, healing from loss, or processing trauma related to birth or parenting, I offer a compassionate space to explore your experiences and find the support you need. My therapeutic approach is deeply relational and client-centered, integrating evidence-based modalities to support healing and growth. I draw on Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), humanistic, relational, and narrative therapy to help clients process emotions, shift unhelpful patterns, and build resilience. My work is grounded in the understanding that each person’s journey is unique, and therapy should be tailored to your individual needs. I work with: Individuals and couples planning for parenthood – supporting fertility journeys, decision-making, and emotional readiness. Expectant parents – preparing for birth, navigating relationship shifts, and addressing fears or anxieties. New parents – adjusting to postpartum changes, identity shifts, and the emotional challenges of early parenthood. Parents experiencing grief and loss – holding space for miscarriage, stillbirth, and other profound losses. Birth trauma recovery – processing difficult or unexpected birth experiences and their emotional impact. Parents with trauma histories – helping caregivers navigate their own past experiences while raising children. Therapy with me is a collaborative process where your voice and experiences are valued. Together, we explore the emotions, narratives, and relational patterns shaping your journey, creating a path toward healing, connection, and personal growth. If you're seeking support on your parenting journey, I invite you to reach out. You don’t have to navigate this alone.
