Sometimes life brings many unexpected challenges and finding the right person to help you is key. As your therapist, I will help you find your way through your immediate problems, in a way that promotes progress toward your long-term goals. For many people this includes overcoming fears or insecurities, get 'unstuck' from negative patterns and getting more in touch with who you really are and how to care for yourself.
This starts with building a trusting and empathetic relationship that is respectful, non-judgmental, open-minded, and culturally sensitive where you feel empowered to achieve your life goals. I utilize Mindfulness, Coaching, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused therapy in my practice and my approach is strength-based.
I have experience working with individuals ranging from children to seniors and have helped people address a variety of challenges including immigration, cross-cultural issues, adoption, women's issues, relationships, trauma, abuse and neglect, crisis intervention, safety planning, domestic violence, racism and oppression and life transitions.
