Sometimes it feels like things are just not getting better. If you are struggling with depression, anxiety, life stressors, or grief and loss you are not alone, it is so common today! One of the advantages of telehealth is that you can talk to a licensed professional from the comfort of your own home, or anywhere you might be located. We can work together to help you find a renewed sense of hope to start to take those baby steps that add up in helping you create a life you love. I have 20 years of experience as a licensed clinical social worker. I know what it is like to deal with life's stressors, curve balls, grief and loss, child loss, depression and anxiety. Whether you are needing help in taking those first steps or whether mental health is not new to you, and you want to learn to manage better. I have the training and experience to help you. I will meet you with unconditional positive regard and we will work together to see what approach is best for you.
Helping others is my passion and it is second nature for me. If you are ready to take that step, I can help you learn to cope better using various therapeutic techniques, and be a neutral professional to talk to, to help you on your healing journey.

- Behavioral Therapy Uses learning techniques like reinforcement and practice to change unwanted behaviors. It is often applied to phobias, anxiety, and habits.
- Biopsychosocial Therapy Takes into account biological, psychological, and social factors in understanding mental health. It looks at the whole person, not just symptoms.
- Christian Counseling Blends psychological practices with Christian values and scripture. It provides faith-based support for life challenges and spiritual growth.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Focuses on strengthening emotional bonds in couples or families. It helps people identify negative cycles and create more secure connections.
- Existential / Humanistic Therapy Encourages people to explore meaning, freedom, and authenticity in their lives. It focuses on personal growth and living in alignment with one’s values.
- Family Systems Therapy Looks at problems within the context of the family as a whole. It aims to improve communication and balance in family relationships.
- Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
- Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) A short-term approach focused on improving relationships and social support. It is often used for depression and grief.
- Narrative Therapy Encourages people to view problems as separate from themselves and reframe their life story. It helps build resilience and self-identity.
- Person-Centered Therapy (Rogerian) Emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. It provides a safe space for self-discovery and growth.
- Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
- Psychosocial Therapy Looks at how social and environmental factors affect psychological health. It emphasizes relationships, community, and resilience.
- Relational Psychotherapy Emphasizes the healing power of the therapist-client relationship. It uses trust and safety as a foundation for change.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
Approach Description: My style includes a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, and other psychodynamic approaches. There is not one approach that fits all, so I believe in collaborative approach in which I work closely with clients to determine the best course of treatment for them.
