Approach Description: My approach is client-centered, practical, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I primarily draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), blending these frameworks to fit your unique needs.
ACT helps by focusing on values, acceptance, and mindful action so you've got a way to unhook from powerful thoughts and feelings that may be dictating your daily experiences of life. Narrative Therapy focuses on familiarizing ourselves to, and adjusting, stories we may be telling ourselves about our life and the people and events that surround us. EFT's focus is on deepening emotional awareness as a gateway to greater understanding, self-compassion, and stronger, more authentic connections to ourselves and others. SFBT focuses on next steps — what’s been working, what’s possible, and how you can take the next step while honouring the most important parts of you.
I’m not here to throw jargon at you — I’m here to offer connection, compassion, and strategies that you can take with you to begin using in your everyday life. Whether we’re untangling anxious thoughts, working through life transitions, or building self-confidence, my focus is on creating a space that feels grounded, empowering, and — most importantly — useful.

In my counselling practice, I focus on helping individuals navigate anxiety, build stronger self-esteem, manage life transitions, and improve how they handle conflict — whether it’s with others or within themselves. I create a space that’s relaxed, non-judgmental, and focused on helping you move forward in ways that feel authentic and sustainable.
My background is a bit outside the typical therapy mold. I've always helped people, whether they've been designing prosthetics for children or playing rugby at the Olympics, and this has allowed me to develop a unique perspective on resilience, pressure, and how we adapt through life’s challenges. It’s this range of experience that shapes my approach: flexible, down-to-earth, and focused on your needs.
I work with adults and teens who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or struggling to manage the emotional load of life. Whether you’re facing work-related stress, self-doubt, relationship struggles, or simply feeling out of sync with yourself, I can help with what's hurting as we look to focus on what’s most meaningful to you. While I’m trauma-informed and comfortable working with your past, my focus is often on helping clients build skills and perspectives that create lasting, positive change in the here-and-now.
Therapy doesn’t have to be complex or overwhelming—it can be clear, collaborative, and even empowering. If you’re ready to explore what’s next for you, I’m here to help.
