Dr. Samantha DenBoer

Dr. DenBoer specializes in family planning and has advanced training in third-party reproductive mental health. She is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and specializes in conducting psychological assessments for those involved in third-party assisted reproductive technologies (ART) including [egg/sperm/embryo] donation and gestational surrogacy. She also completes psychological evaluations for parents pursing international adoption. Dr. DenBoer also meets with couples, providing research-based support for pregnant and parenting families to help prepare for the transition to parenthood with focus on helping parents maintain relationship satisfaction after welcoming a new baby into their lives. Dr. DenBoer is also currently pursuing Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International (PSI). Dr. DenBoer completed her undergraduate degree at The State University of New York – Brockport and her graduate degree at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She completed her final predoctoral training through the The University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine at Jackson Memorial’s Behavioral Health Hospital before moving to Southwest Florida for her postdoctoral residency, where she has remained practicing for nearly 10 years. She is affiliated with the Lee Health hospital organization and is a member of numerous county, state, and national professional associations. Dr. DenBoer was born and raised in Buffalo (Go Bills!) but has lived in Florida for over 15 years. While she appreciates the warmth and sun that Florida offers, she enjoys traveling to New York and Michigan to visit with family alongside her husband and three children.
