I am invested in building authentic working relationships with my clients. My approach to therapy is aimed at fostering growth and personal fulfillment. Together we will identify any barriers to success, and develop strategies to overcome them. My specialty areas are relationship issues, anxiety, depression, life transitions, situational stress, eating disorders, sexuality, trauma and grief/loss.
I recieved my Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Bryn Mawr College in 1999. I worked for the Renfrew Center from 1999-2001 and for the Belmont Center from 2001-2007 in the field of Eating Disorders. I also maintained a private practice during this time. In January, 2008, I co-founded Bloomgarden, Ostroff & Associates with Andrea Bloomgarden, Ph.D. Here I serve as the practice administrator and oversee overall operations of the practice.
In my private practice I see individuals and couples, and run support groups for eating disorders. I have particular expertise in the areas of EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples (EFT) and often use these treatment approaches in my work.
