Life can be messy, confusing, and intense. You might be navigating anxiety, ADHD, trauma, grief, relationship struggles, addiction, or just trying to figure out how to feel more like yourself. Maybe you’ve been stuck in old patterns, overwhelmed by responsibilities, or unsure how to respond to the challenges in your life. Whatever your story, therapy can help you move forward with more clarity, balance, and confidence. My work isn’t about blaming the past or staying stuck in old stories. It’s about understanding how your mind, body, and emotions all interact — and helping you respond to life in ways that feel more manageable, authentic, and aligned with who you want to be. In our sessions, we talk about everything: thoughts, habits, relationships, emotional patterns, and how your body experiences life. It’s a space to slow down, get real, and see yourself more clearly. Together, we develop practical strategies and insights that help you manage overwhelm, navigate challenges, and make decisions that truly support your life. We curse, we cry, we laugh — and we work toward letting go of what no longer serves you while building the skills to thrive. Growth happens when we change how we think, believe, and act, and I am here to guide you through that process. I offer telehealth sessions in Alabama and Illinois, so you can work with me wherever you feel safe and ready to do the work. My approach is grounded, real, and adaptable — for anyone looking to feel more capable, connected, and alive in their own life.

Treatment Approach

  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
  • Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
  • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Combines mindfulness practices with CBT to prevent depression relapse. It helps people notice thoughts without judgment and respond more calmly.
  • Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
  • Self Psychology Explores the development of self-esteem and identity. It emphasizes the importance of empathy in healing.
  • Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
Approach Description: This is whole person therapy - Truly holistic in every sense. Every person is unique and needs different things. The core of my work is psychodynamic, utilizing Mindfulness Based CBT and Somatic Therapy (body awareness) to develop whole person consciousness and self understanding . But what each human brings to therapy and needs is different, so it is truly a bespoke and integrative approach.

Fernanda Cutrone Krumm, LPC/LCPC Practice Description
I work with adults who want more than surface-level coping. Life can feel chaotic, exhausting, or overwhelming — anxiety, ADHD, trauma, relationship struggles, and recovery challenges often pull people off balance. I help clients identify patterns, navigate triggers, and build strategies that actually work in real life. I integrate practical tools with deep awareness of thoughts, emotions, and the body. One of the core components of my work is helping others recover our shared humanity and compassion for the self and others. I bring a deep level of personally experienced life knowledge in addition to my psychological and holistic wellness expertise. I am a thriving neurodivergent professional. As a HSP (highly sensitive person) myself, I understand what it’s like to feel everything intensely, and how to leverage that sensitivity as a strength. For those in recovery from addictions, I understand how important it is to work with someone who understands. That is why I proudly identity as a therapist in recovery and deeply understand the challenges one can encounter living a recovery lifestyle. I provide Twelve Step Facilitation to those committed to owing that recovery path. I believe my humanity is an essential component in supporting people in sustaining meaningful change. In today’s automated and commodified world, humanity is a crucial component to true connection and transformative change. In our work together, we focus on real-world results: managing overwhelm, regulating emotions, improving focus, and navigating relationships with more confidence. My approach is grounded, honest, and collaborative — I give clients tools they can use immediately to feel more capable, resilient, and aligned with the life they want to live. I offer telehealth sessions for clients in Alabama and Illinois. You can take the video call from any comfortable, private and safe location with a good WiFi connection. I have a therapy dog who might be visible from time to time. I provide a warm and comforting atmosphere and strive to make the experience welcoming and calming.
