So many people today struggle with feelings of unworthiness or disconnection from other people. You might be caught in some bad habits or unhelpful thinking or emotional patterns. I understand, and have experienced the same thing myself at times.
The good news is that it's possible to get un-stuck, and it's possible to cultivate a deep happiness and conviction of your own worthiness. It's also possible to develop deeper connections to the people around you.
Most of us have a dysregulated nervous system that fuels the thinking and emotional patterns we are stuck in. Because our nervous system is constantly in a low- or high-level state of stress, our thoughts and emotions reflect that. For most people, just working on the level of thought and emotion is not sufficient. That is why I include the nervous system in my work. This work also often involves resolving traumas, big or small, that we all incur throughout our lives.
I also specialize in mindfulness, and have spent a lot of time learning how to effectively integrate mindfulness and somatic work to the greatest benefit of my clients. It's not simple stuff! Mindfulness can be really triggering, but can also be tremendously beneficial, when approached with consideration for the nervous system. Mindfulness offers us the possibility of freeing ourselves from our thoughts and emotions. It is also a great tool for developing self-love. Many studies show that mindfulness also supports us in developing a greater sense of equanimity, no matter what life throws at us.
I integrate many other models into my practice to support each client based on their specific needs. I have found it most effective to both address the things that are blocking my clients from having the life they want - the thoughts, emotions, and other patterns - as well as to cultivate more of what you want to experience in your life - so, peace, self-love, a sense of connection, empowerment, etc.
