Treatment Approach
- Behavioral Therapy Uses learning techniques like reinforcement and practice to change unwanted behaviors. It is often applied to phobias, anxiety, and habits.
- Biopsychosocial Therapy Takes into account biological, psychological, and social factors in understanding mental health. It looks at the whole person, not just symptoms.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
- Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) Builds skills in self-kindness and compassion toward others. It is especially helpful for people who struggle with shame or self-criticism.
- Contemplative Psychotherapy Combines mindfulness and meditation practices with modern psychology. It encourages awareness and compassion as part of the healing process.
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Combines CBT with mindfulness to help regulate emotions, tolerate stress, and build stronger relationships. Originally designed for borderline personality disorder, it’s now used more broadly.
- Integrative Therapy Combines techniques from multiple approaches into a customized plan. It adapts to each client’s unique situation and needs.
- Ketamine-Assisted Therapy Combines low doses of ketamine with psychotherapy to treat depression, trauma, and anxiety. It can provide relief when other methods haven’t worked.
- Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Combines mindfulness practices with CBT to prevent depression relapse. It helps people notice thoughts without judgment and respond more calmly.
- Psychoanalytic Therapy Based on Freud’s theories, it explores unconscious conflicts and past experiences. It seeks to bring hidden issues into awareness.
- Psychodynamic Therapy Explores unconscious thoughts and patterns that influence current behavior. It builds insight into how the past impacts the present.
- Psychoeducational Therapy Provides education and coping tools about mental health conditions. It empowers clients with knowledge and practical skills.
- Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) Helps clients challenge and replace irrational beliefs. It is an action-oriented approach for lasting change.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
- Somatic Therapy Helps clients notice how emotions are stored in the body. It uses breath, movement, and awareness for healing trauma and stress.
Approach Description: My approach is integrative and holistic, combining the wisdom of Eastern philosophy with the science of modern therapy. Having lived as a monk for 13 years, I bring a deep spiritual perspective, while my training as a clinical counsellor and yoga therapist ensures evidence-based, practical care.
I use a blend of mindfulness, trauma-informed cognitive therapy, emotion-focused work, shadow work, and psychodynamic approaches. Sessions may also incorporate yoga-based practices, meditation, or body–mind techniques that help clients reconnect with themselves on a deeper level.
Each person is unique, so I tailor therapy to meet you where you are — whether you’re struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, or searching for meaning and balance in your life. Together, we work not only on easing symptoms but on uncovering root causes, building emotional resilience, and supporting lasting transformation.
My goal is to provide a compassionate and non-judgmental space where you feel safe to explore, heal, and grow into your fullest self.

My practice is rooted in the belief that true healing addresses the whole person — mind, body, emotions, and spirit. With over 30 years of experience as a former monk, registered clinical counsellor, certified yoga therapist, and Vedic astrologer, I bring a rare and integrative approach to therapy.
Drawing on my 13 years of monastic life at Satyaloka Monastery and extensive work across more than 20 countries, I have developed an Integrative Wellness Model that blends Eastern philosophy with evidence-based therapies, including trauma-informed cognitive therapy, mindfulness, emotion-focused approaches, shadow work, and psychoanalytic methods.
I work with individuals, couples, and communities to address trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, stress, burnout, relationship challenges, and health-related concerns such as autoimmune conditions and infertility. My experience also includes facilitating trauma-healing workshops in Indigenous communities and supporting first responders, medical professionals, and those in high-stress fields.
Clients often come to me seeking clarity, resilience, and inner peace. Together, we uncover the root causes of challenges and create practical, personalized strategies for growth. Sessions may incorporate counselling, mindfulness, yoga-based practices, and guided self-awareness tools that empower clients to live with balance, purpose, and authenticity.
Whether you are navigating personal challenges, seeking recovery from trauma, or longing for deeper meaning in life, my practice offers a compassionate, safe space to explore, heal, and transform.
