In psychotherapy, you can focus on the issue you want. During my career as a psychotherapist, I have successfully worked with persons who were experiencing: Depression, Relationship difficulties, Anxiety, Isolation, Immigration stress, Stress, Self-Esteem issues, Life transitions or crises (including divorce, career change or mid-life), Sexual problems or gender related issues, Self destructive behaviour, Compulsions or obsessive thinking, Bereavement, Dissatisfaction with yourself and your life or A desire to deepen your experiences with a curiosity about who you are.
You can choose between having your psychotherapy face-to-face or over the phone.
My main form of exercise psychotherapy is face to face. This is the original form of psychotherapy and I work with individuals, couples and families. In these meetings we may talk about you and what you are concerned. Regular sessions have duration of 50 minutes and take place at my office on a prior appointment basis.
OVER THE PHONE / SKYPE
Due the current busy lifestyle and the great distances, it is sometimes difficult to attend an in-person therapeutic process. In these cases, the technology helps us. The sessions over the phone have the same duration as the in-person meetings. The day we set our appointment, I will ask you for the phone number where I'm going to call for your session. This modality I only recommend it for individual therapy, not for couples or family therapy.
Working in therapy with me you can treat different issues:
Depression, Anxiety & Mental Issues - Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through psychotherapy and treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life
Cross Cultural Issues - Cross-cultural misunderstandings or conflict may arise whenever there are cultural backgrounds in a couple. There could be differences in verbal and no-verbal communication styles, different attitudes toward conflict, different approaches to completing tasks, differences in decision making styles and different attitudes toward disclosure. In therapy we can work to improve the couple's communication and to grow in understanding each other.
Relationships and Marriage Counselling - Couples therapy can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship or to help them to separate in the best way possible. Therapy sessions are held with both partners and is a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship or to know how to separate without hurting unnecessarily.
