Treatment Approach

  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them, while committing to actions that reflect their values. It blends mindfulness with practical behavior strategies.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) One of the most widely used approaches, CBT helps people identify unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier patterns. It is effective for anxiety, depression, and many other concerns.
  • Family Systems Therapy Looks at problems within the context of the family as a whole. It aims to improve communication and balance in family relationships.
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) Helps clients heal by working with different ‘parts’ of themselves, like inner critics or wounded children. It fosters harmony within the self.
  • Music Therapy Uses music listening, songwriting, or rhythm exercises to support healing. It is effective for stress, emotional expression, and cognitive challenges.
  • Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) Helps parents strengthen their bond with their child while learning effective strategies to manage challenging behaviors. Through live coaching, parents practice positive communication, set clear boundaries, and build a more supportive, nurturing home environment.
  • Play Therapy Uses toys, games, and creative play to help children express emotions. It is especially useful when children can’t fully verbalize their feelings.
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Focuses on solutions and future goals rather than past problems. It is practical, short-term, and goal-driven.
Approach Description: My approach to therapy is relational, collaborative, and grounded in quality interactions. I believe meaningful change happens within safe, supportive relationships; both in therapy and in everyday life. I work alongside clients to help them better understand themselves, strengthen connections with others, and develop practical skills that support long-term well-being. Drawing from my background in clinical mental health counseling and education, I view individuals and families through a developmental and systems-based lens. This means we look not only at current symptoms or challenges, but also at patterns, relationships, and environments that shape daily experiences. Together, we focus on building awareness, emotional regulation, communication, and resilience. My work is trauma-informed and strengths-based, honoring each client’s lived experience while emphasizing growth, autonomy, and hope. I tailor sessions to your unique goals, using evidence-informed strategies while remaining flexible, human, and responsive in the room. Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you. It’s about creating space for reflection, skill-building, and meaningful change. Above all, I strive to create a therapy space that feels welcoming, respectful, and authentic, where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to move forward in ways that feel right for you.
