I completed my practicum internship at Santa Clara County Las Plumas Outpatient Clinic in San Jose, and San Mateo County, where I am currently fully employed as a full-time Psychiatric Social Worker II. Previous, I also completed my hours towards licensure at Rebekah's Children and Family Services as a lead therapist in the wraparound program for youth, adolescents and families providing case management and counseling to youth, adolescents, and families dealing with mental health needs and diagnosis including substance abuse, eating disorders, and co-occurring. Coincidently, I worked with Edgewood Children and Family services as a lead consulting providing classroom behavioral support, behavioral assessments, IEP collaboration, and workshops and training to school staff.
I specialize in working with single mother’s and parents. While I am not a mother myself yet, I do have vast experience working with parents in the home and schools. Because I grew up in a large family I know the concept of family connection and isolation. To expand on isolation, I also work with college students and graduates. I have been a college student at different points in my life and I am very familiar with the challenges college students face and value their commitment to wanting to improve their lives and advance their education to help them in the in their futures.
I have worked in the field of mental health for 6 years and have provided counseling services for the last 4 years. As I acquired the necessary experience to apply for independent licensure, I volunteered my time at silicon valley mental health startups, hospitals, eating disorder recovery center, and Stanford University to gain a better understanding of community needs. I am committed to providing you with the tools necessary to reclaim your voice, let go of past hurt, and make meaningful changes. I believe in your ability to get through the most difficult of circumstances, and I would be pleased to support you in your growth and change.
