Kim Kriesel is an Arizona native who is passionate about helping moms-to-be and new moms in their journey to and through motherhood. No two women will experience motherhood in the same way and expectations do not always match up with the reality of pregnancy, the newborn phase, or even toddlerhood. Sometimes being a mom doesn’t always feel like the perfect experience and we wonder if being a good enough mom is really enough in today's society. As a certified provider of Compassionate Bereavement Care through MISS Foundation, Kim as has extensive training and experience counseling mothers who have endured the loss of a child. She is also trained in trauma work utilizing EMDR psychotherapy specifically focusing on trauma surrounding pregnancy, childbirth and loss. Additionally, the Gilbert resident volunteers in her community as a member of the Crisis Response Team for Chandler Fire, Health and Medical Department.
In her and her husband’s journey to becoming parents to two healthy young children, the couple also struggled with infertility and had devastating losses along the way. In overcoming her own grief and transitioning to a place of peace and acceptance, her passion now lies in helping women who are also experiencing infertility and motherhood challenges and traumas. In working with her clients, Kim exudes warmth, deep understanding, unwavering support and a unique way of bringing understanding, positive perspective and resolution to situations that can seem unbearably sad.
In her time away from work, Kim enjoys spending time with her husband and children, reading, traveling and taking the occasional trip to the spa. She looks forward to helping all moms reach a healthy and positive mental state that will propel them forward in motherhood and in their daily lives.
