Another New Year is upon us. Do you want this year to be a year of victory over negative thoughts and feelings? Do you wish for healing of broken relationships? You CAN be healed of those challenges, and many more. How? you ask. The answer is not a “how” but rather a “who.” His name is Jesus Christ. When you take Jesus from a “head” relationship to a “heart” relationship, He will change your life. I’m not talking about religion, or church attendance, but rather a personal relationship with the Creator of everything. How can this happen? First, you must believe that there is a God, and that He sent Jesus to save you from your sins. Second, you must admit that you are a sinner and in need of a Savior. Third, you pray to God and confess that you need the saving grace of His Son Jesus, and ask Jesus to come into your heart and save you. He will not turn you away. When this is done, you may or may not sense an immediate change in yourself. Some people do and some don’t. But be assured, that if you call upon the name of the Lord out of an honest and contrite heart, He will answer, and you will pass from spiritual death into eternal life. This is the promise of the Gospel, and the reason Jesus was born and died. He came because you are just that important to God. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16) And that’s not all. When you receive Jesus Christ as your Savior, the Holy Spirit comes to live within in you to give you the ability to conquer negative thoughts and feelings, and to restore broken relationships, and to seal you as a child of God forever. Won’t you let Jesus be the Lord of your life? He said, “I came so that they may have life, and have it more abundantly.” He is waiting for you.
