The American Medical Association states, 6 hours of Hypnotherapy is the equivalent to 600 hours of Psychotherapy. Said another way, what can be achieved in 6 hours of hypnosis would take 11 and a half years in Psychotherapy. Additionally, numerous scientific studies have shown that meditation significantly reduces anxiety, depression and related stress responses. Most important, hypnosis or meditation expediates the therapeutic process making it more effective and efficient, and therapy results maintainable and sustainable. There are four ways in which Meditation and Hypnosis are used to help people create change. Mindfulness Meditation helps people become aware of the thoughts and emotional responses they wish to change. Mindfulness meditation can help eliminate anxiety and depression by allowing people to witness their thoughts and feelings rather than engage with them. Guided Meditation helps create a clear sense of what is desired and needed and the steps required for achievement.
