Do you find yourself hiding or pretending in order to avoid conflict or discomfort from others? Do expectations from others not align with what’s true to you? Does your gender identity fall between the binary, or are you in the process of transitioning? You deserve a life where you are authentically YOU! Living out and proud isn’t easy... It can be difficult to connect with others, especially when you don’t feel connected with yourself. You’re infested with thoughts and worries that make you hesitate from doing things that are good for you. You’re scared of how others will treat you, and you aren’t sure how to handle these difficult conversations and situations. You feel pressure to have everything figured out before you are allowed to say who you are. You may find yourself avoiding situations, or holding yourself back from other people. Sometimes you feel selfish for wanting to prioritize yourself over the convenience of others. You feel disconnected from society, your sense of self, and even your own body. You’re scared to embrace change and the consequences that come with it. I Will Help You: Process microaggressions and trauma. Learn practical skills to overcome the fear and anxiety that make you hesitate from stepping into your identity. Navigate potential blowout during and after coming out. Clearly set and maintain boundaries in a way that is kind to yourself and others. Confidently ask for what you want, and declare what you need — without feeling guilty. Develop a strong, positive sense of self that is balanced and well-rounded. Connect with your intuition, and learn to listen to it. Cultivating a positive sense of self may not be easy, but it can be simple!

Follow Your Compass

Psychologist, PsyD
BIPOC LGBTQ+ are all welcome in our practice, with particular specialty of gender identity (trans*, nonbinary, gender fluid, and others). We have close relationships with endocrinologists (youth and adult), and 7 years of experience providing evalutions/letters for surgical intervention. We understand that the journey is multifaceted and each person's identity is unique, we trust that you are the expert on your life. We'll be there to help in accessing social support, community referrals (such as voice coaching, binder info, or mutual aid), and referrals for the family. Folx we work with will sometimes have a specific need, and other times prefer longer-term support in managing nuances of feeling comfortable living an authentic life.

In my practice, I prioritize providing a supportive and identity-affirming environment for individuals navigating LGBT issues, including gender affirming care. As a queer-identifying cis woman, I bring personal understanding and empathy to our work together. I offer a safe space where you can explore your identity, experiences, and challenges, including issues related to coming out, family dynamics, discrimination, intersectional experiences, isolation, and relationships. Together, we'll foster self-acceptance, resilience, and empowerment, helping you embrace your authentic self and build fulfilling connections within your community.
