Living with low self-esteem can be defeating and have an impact on your daily life, causing problems at work and at home. My goal is to identify factors that contribute to the problem and help to make a plan to minimize it's effects so that you can be more relaxed and experience safety within yourself.

Ellen Ronka
Licensed Mental Health Counselor, LCMHC
Low self esteem has its root in shame. I am excellent in teaching clients how to recognize shame and then train their brains out of it. The magic of neuroplasticity is that the brain can (and does!) change with different inputs. Beliefs (including ones like "I'm not good enough") are just thoughts that you've been practicing. Your self-worth is a fact, so you need to practice thoughts and experiences that align with that fact. This, of course, is easier said than done, but with alternative techniques like energy psychology, we can target early experiences that made you feel less than. This can have profound results, transforming your beliefs about your worth and changing how you approach everything in your life!
