I have 18 years of experience in counseling. I have worked in private practice, hospitals, clinics and schools. I design your treatment plan specifically for you. I am a Certified EMDR trauma therapist. I also offer therapy from a Christian worldview if desired by you.  

At New Horizon Counseling Center we offer individuals, couples and family counseling in a group practice setting with licensed counselors and social workers. Our trained, caring therapy staff offer a variety of approaches to meet the specific needs of each client in a safe and calm setting.

While serving in the military I saw the need for more attention to mental and emotional health through the ineffective and destructive ways many of my peers were coping with stress.

I earned my B.A. in psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, and after a career as a business executive, returned to school in 2020, earning a Master of Science degree in clinical mental health counseling from Tarleton State University. I am an alumna of the national women’s leadership academy, Leadership America, and was selected in 2015 to be a patient advocate for the National Center for Healthcare Research in Washington, D.C.
