Hello, I’m Ema! I am a licensed therapist. I’m passionate about supporting individuals navigating complicated life transitions, trauma recovery, and grief and loss.

I’ve decided to launch a blog because I believe we all need a little extra support. While this is by no means a substitute for individual therapy, my hope is that you’ll find information and insight to guide you in addressing some concerns, or deciding to seek direct support from a therapist near you.

Who am I?

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Arizona and graduated with a masters degree in professional counseling from Grand Canyon University. I specialize in treating trauma, grief, and life transitions in adolescence through adulthood, with skills gained from training in DBT, IFS, and trauma-informed theory. I am also passionate about men’s issues related to relational and emotional awareness, including developing skills to strengthen relationships and enhance life satisfaction.

I am employed with Evolve Counseling and Behavioral Health Services in Phoenix, AZ, where I provide individual and group counseling.

Resilient Hope

I use the name Resilient Hope in my social media and marketing as this encapsulates my values as a therapist and an individual – to support each and every person in developing a hope that withstands the trials of life.

I am a nerd at heart, and have centered my professional mission around a quote from the inimitable J.R.R. Tolkien:

“There’s still some good in this world, and it’s worth fighting for.”

This is resilient hope. Let’s fight for the good in the world, and in ourselves.
