Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW-S, CCTP, TIYT
Feeling like a pressure cooker and just need to explode? Feeling remorseful for how you take your anger out on others... or perhaps yourself? Do sometimes wonder "what's happened to me?"
I help men and women that are struggling to manage their anger learn how to access peace and calm NOW! By learning a variety of evidence-based relaxation response techniques and how to rewire your nervous system we can help you to generate a sense of calm in those moments of chaos. I will support you in connecting more deeply with your truest values and life purpose so that you may achieve happiness and peace. You must feel so disconnected from yourself sometimes, and we will help you to reconnect and express yourself in ways that are consistent with who you really want to be.
For the client, I include the practices that I've learned including breathwork, meditation, and yoga to help restore the nervous system and somatic responses to stay in control and maintain a more peaceful state instead of reacting to triggers. We can together explore these tools as well as the emotional responses and thoughts that occur that do not serve us and instead make a journey towards healing, wholeness, and fulfillment.

Life is not easy; therefore, sometimes we respond in less than positive ways.
Anger is a natural emotion and healthy for our brain and bodies to communicate that a boundary has been crossed or a need is not being met. Our response to anger on the other hand is what we need to learn to navigate more effectively, which is what therapy can provide. By identifying triggers or stressors, we can work together to process underlying beliefs as well as providing resources to maintain control of your emotional responses in order to effectively manage the situation.
Together, we can work toward developing healthy ways to express anger or frustration as life is full of triggers and stressors.
Anger management counseling for professionals, teens, parents, or those recovering from trauma.
Anger issues can occur when someone is unable to control their anger, which can lead to problems in their life and relationships. Anger management is a way to learn how to handle anger in a healthy and sustainable way. I work with clients to mitigate and better manage anger, and develop coping skills and strategies
I offer cognitive-behavioral therapy to help you make your own positive life decisions. Through sharing ideas in a caring, respectful relationship, you are actively involved in decision-making throughout the therapy process. My role is to provide a supportive and trusting environment.
Seeking a therapist can be a little scary. I'd love to speak with you on the phone to answer any questions you may have and to encourage you. My goal is to help you find direction and peace of mind, using your unique traits and talents.
Anger is what we refer to in the "therapy world" as a secondary emotion; usually there is a deeper cause to the anger you may be feeling. I will strive to help assist you in a nonjudgmental, and safe way in exploring the deeper reasons that your anger keeps surfacing.
