Through evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), particularly exposure and response prevention (ERP), I work collaboratively with clients to identify and challenge obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors. By gradually exposing individuals to feared stimuli while refraining from engaging in compulsions, we aim to reduce anxiety and disrupt the cycle of obsessions and compulsions. Additionally, I incorporate mindfulness techniques and acceptance-based strategies to help clients develop a more adaptive relationship with uncertainty and discomfort. Psychoeducation plays a crucial role in enhancing understanding of OCD and building skills for long-term management. My goal is to empower individuals to regain control over their lives, reduce OCD symptoms, and improve overall quality of life.
