Salt Lake City, Utah therapist: Chris Whitehead, counselor/therapist

Chris Whitehead

Counselor/Therapist, CMHC
Starting on the path of counseling or therapy can be a bit intimidating. However, it doesn’t have to be. Working in a friendly and caring environment and with a kind, understanding, and caring counselor can make the process easier, more comfortable, and even fun. Sometimes we may feel as though we are malfunctioning or broken; but I don’t believe anyone is actually broken. They are just doing something, or behaving in a way, that they would like to change. The trick is to find a new way, an enjoyable way, a way that rejuvenates, reinvigorates, and brings zest to life. Finding that new way may feel a little strange or difficult at first, but that’s part of the fun; trying on new patterns of thinking and behaving to see what fits and what we like best. Working in a safe and relaxed environment can help in this process, because it helps us to feel comfortable and assured. When counseling and therapy are done purposefully and cooperatively; learning, developing, and incorporating the new strategies and patterns can be a pleasant and enjoyable journey. To learn more about this process please reach out or schedule an appointment on my website. I'm happy to help.

Paul W Anderson, PhD

Psychologist, Licensed counseling psychologist, Licensed Addictions counselor
I enjoy doing counseling. Not only have I been in private practice as a licensed doctoral psychologist for many years, but I also understand the therapy process from having used counseling for myself.
I meet my clients with compassion as well as a skilled and trained intellect focused on helping you find lasting solutions quickly. I provide a safe and understanding space free of judgement.
I won't waste your time or money, but I also want to take the time in the first sessions to get to know you and your situation well enough so that when we begin to apply solutions, they are strategic, effective and bring you lasting relief from your pain and concerns.

Psychologist, Licensed Psychologist in NC, Authorized PsyPact Practitioner in 40 states
I have been a licensed therapist since 1987 when I was a professor of Counseling Psychology at the University of Missouri. I've continued to help my clients learn to love and accept themselves, whether in individual or couples therapy, executives and their teams, or women in prison. I pay attention to Body, Mind, and Spirit as we work, as I believe we must recognize the interaction of all three. Clients comment that despite feeling safe with me, they feel challenged to face themselves.
