I understand how difficult it can be to remember a painful event. Discussing an encounter can feel humiliating, but you are never at fault. In my therapy, I pride myself on creating a comfortable environment for my clients, so we can talk through the emotions of a past experience and create healthy resolutions.

Trauma comes into our lives in so many ways and at different times. Often with PTSD we think of those who have served in the military but they are not the only ones suffering. Some traumas happen in childhood and others as we go through life in our careers, in our families, or in our communities. There are several different tools to treat and heal our woundedness, so if you have tried and not been successful don't give up! Patience is required by the therapist and the client in working through trauma and it can be a longer process than other things people go to counseling to resolve. Your story will not scare me and I will offer you compassion- which you actually might not want to accept at this point and that's okay, too. That's part of the journey. I'm willing to walk this difficult path with you sensitively and at the pace which you are comfortable.
