We are dedicated to providing trauma treatment to adults in ways that have never been offered in Michigan before. If outpatient is not quite enough but hospitalization is not the right fit either, our Rose program might be the perfect fit for you. We offer a partial hospitalization program and intensive outpatient program specifically for individuals with trauma. Say goodbye to a general partial day program and hello to the Rose program, specialized trauma treatment.
Our unique approach to treating trauma is focused on getting to the R.O.O.T.S (Reclaiming Our Own Trauma Stories), derived from a psychodynamic framework. Our evidenced-based curriculum has been carefully designed and selected to provide specialized trauma care and to treat related diagnoses while allowing flexibility to tailor the program for your individuals needs. I have worked for many years with children, teens, adults, and families dealing with trauma and change and searching for authenticity, often in a world that values the superficial. Therapy is a process of seeking meaning, managing change, letting go of what no longer makes sense for who we are and what we want, healing, and growing.
I am most suited to help clients dealing with loss, prior childhood trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, identity (in all its manifestations), divorce, self-esteem, grief, and emotional regulation. The goals are different for everyone, yet I believe that we all want to feel more balanced, more joyful, and more healthfully connected with others.

Dr. Jayson L. Mystkowski (preferred pronouns: he/him/his) received a Ph.D. from UCLA’s Clinical Psychology program in 2003 and a B.A. Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa in Psychology, with Departmental Honors, from Northwestern University in 1997. At UCLA, where he has been a Clinical Professor for over 15yrs in their Psychology Clinic, Dr. Mystkowski acquired a strong foundation in applying behavior theories to the understanding and treatment of anxiety disorders while working with Dr. Michelle Craske and has published several papers on this topic. His clinical training is diverse, with time spent on anxiety treatment studies at UCLA, practicum and post-doctoral training at the Greater Los Angeles Veterans Administration Hospital System, and an APA-accredited internship at UCLA Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). After 15yrs as a licensed clinical psychologist and the Associate Clinical Director at Cognitive Behavior Associates in Beverly Hills, Dr. Mystkowski founded Cognitive Behavior Health Partners in 2019. Dr. Mystkowski is licensed in CA (#20077) and CT (#4416), has been granted the Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT: E. Passport Mobility #14145) and a Certificate of Professional Qualification (CPQ) by the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB).
