Meandering to Change, LLC
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Hello,
I see therapy as a casual conversation with a purpose. That purpose is my supporting another through the different ways I can find the way to listen to someone’s narrative. When exploring with another person about their narrative, the therapy is not gained and learned in a straight line but a meandering one.
Therapy should not be alone about symptoms and diagnoses. Therapy and the process involves someone being supported about all problems no matter the shape, size, or the intensity of such problems.
People have an image or an idea of what therapy is, but therapy is about anything and everything. Therapy is about opportunities and possibilities. It’s not only about problems symptoms or trauma. Therapy is a tool used to connect a person to be able to share themselves their story their narrative. Therapy is what someone wants it to be.

Dr. Abrielle Conway, Rooted in Grace Psychological Services
Psychologist, Psy.D., Licensed Psychologist
Hi, I'm a licensed psychologist who is passionate about improving women's mental health, addressing sources of anxiety/stress, perfectionism, grief/loss, and trauma. I'm sensitive to the unique challenges women face, particularly related to societal expectations of wives/ mothers, women in the workforce, and other social organizations (like church). Women often come to me when they have exhausted all of their resources and are at the end of the rope in managing their anxiety and stress. I often hear that despite a strong desire to break through their circumstances, they often feel overwhelmed and stuck. They share that they need practical, hands-on strategies to help them overcome their problems.
I take a highly collaborative approach in our work, meaning that while I give clients necessary information to make an educated decision, clients are in control of their treatment throughout the entire process.
To get a feel for my style, I've included several pieces of feedback I've heard from clients who have enjoyed working with me:
1. "You see me and you hear me. I'm not alone anymore. This is the first time I've felt so understood."
2. "You are a safe place to just be myself with all my imperfections. I don't have to worry about putting on a mask."
3. "You give me practical tools to help me deal with my problems. I've made so much more progress in working with you over the past month than I did with my last therapist in years."
If it sounds like we could work well together, feel free to call the office or request a consultation: https://www.rootedingrace.org/request/service

Megan Shurtleff
Counselor/Therapist, LSW
My clinical experience includes working with individuals and groups experiencing anxiety (generalized,
OCD, PTSD), depression, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, attachment-related issues,
adjustment issues, and grief. I have worked with various populations across different settings including
working with adolescents in a community program, dual diagnosis clinical setting, and in crisis
intervention in a hospital setting.
Using a strengths-based and client-centered approach to therapy, I work collaboratively with clients to
address their current difficulties by identifying root causes and individualized goals for change. My goal
is to empower individuals to create a pathway to achieving these goals by developing and
implementing strategies and coping skills that can best help them achieve lasting and meaningful
changes on their terms.
I am a licensed LSW in NJ, working toward LCSW licensure. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in both
Psychology and Anthropology, and my Masters of Social Work from Binghamton University. I utilize an
eclectic approach to therapy, allowing therapeutic experience to be adapted to best suit each
individual’s needs and circumstances. I provide a warm, open, and nonjudgmental space to work
through the change process. Modalities I use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical
Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Attachment-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational
Interviewing, and Person-Centered Therapy.
