As human beings, we are all just Energy and that energy is not just physical. We are a part of a Mystery that cannot be explained only by science. I do not impose my spiritual beliefs on anyone, however I encourage everyone to explore their own spiritual beliefs and preferences in life.
In the complex journey of life, spirituality can serve as both a sanctuary and a labyrinth, offering profound insights and, at times, presenting challenging questions. As a therapist with a deep appreciation for the role of spirituality in personal growth and healing, I offer a compassionate and open space where all aspects of your spiritual journey are welcome. Together, we'll explore the spiritual dimensions of your life, respecting your beliefs and experiences, and integrating them into our therapeutic work through the use of the Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM).

By weaving together evidence-based therapeutic practices with an understanding of spiritual principles, we'll aim to foster a sense of harmony, purpose, and connection within your life.

Spirituality: We all have different view of Spirit. My goal is to respect all religions and belief systems and to show acceptance of whatever the client believes. I provide an environment that supports exploration of whatever belief system a client has.
Mindfulness Meditation is a secular (non-religious) practice that helps us connect more deeply to ourselves, our intuition and natural sense of inner guidance. Learning mindfulness meditation tools and practices can enhance our other spiritual practices as well.

Spirituality is a very important aspect of life for many people. For individuals with a very developed spiritual life working with a therapist who is understanding and supportive of their spirituality can be very helpful. For others who may be wanting to connect more deeply with spirituality it can be useful to include that as a focus within the therapy. As a psychotherapist I am very comfortable working with people with a wide range of spiritual beliefs. Sometimes I have knowledge about the the spiritual beliefs the person finds meaning in and other times my clients educate me bout spiritual topics and views I don't yet know about. My approach is to be highly supportive of incorporating spirituality into the therapy. Rather than trying to impose my own spiritual views or beliefs I strive to understand the beliefs and practices that have meaning to my clients and to help them to find ways of connecting with and using those beliefs to support them in their daily lives. Personally, I find a great deal of value from my study and practice of Buddhism. I am glad to engage with clients about Buddhist ideas and practices if these have meaning to the person but I only do so when invited, and in doing so I strive to find ways of it supporting the client's therapy.

Often when trauma occurs, our spirituality becomes fragmented from us in a moment where our survival is the most critical. For others, spiritual parts of self can be cut off due to religious trauma and the fear of remembering who we truly are. I can help guide you through the difficult process of integrating and remembering who you really are, beyond the trauma of what has happened to you.

I feel free to state my biases so that clients know my perspective. I am pro-marriage and will always try to help a marriage survive, though I understand there are times when that is not possible. I am a deeply spiritual person committed to my Christian faith, but I will not expect or in any way coerce my clients to believe as I do.
