A certain amount of stress is necessary to motivate us in various life tasks. High levels of stress however wreaks havoc on our emotional, mental and physical health. And when stress is maintained at high levels over long periods of time it can lead to nervous system overwhelm and burn-out. You don't want to put your body or your mind through that. I should know, I've been there. And I can say with conviction that nothing in life is worth it.
