Anger is frequently a result of frustration, and through talk therapy and schema-therapy I will teach you how to replace survival behaviors that may have worked for you in the past, with more positive reactivity to successfully deploy anger impulses.
The three main approaches are expressing, suppressing, and calming. Expressing your angry feelings in an assertive—not aggressive—manner is the healthiest way to express anger. To do this, you have to learn how to make clear what your needs are, and how to get them met, without hurting others.
In our anger management sessions, we help clients identify the anger provoking triggers and learn how to better cope with their anger issues. Mindfulness techniques, CBT techniques, and solution-focused therapy are often used in our sessions.
