We offer clinicians with special training and expertise in Perinatal Psychology. We are passionate about preparing individuals and couples for the often-challenging transition to parenthood. We have clinicians who are trained to promote a healthy carer-and-baby relationship through “Watch, Wait, and Wonder”.
Having a baby is one of the biggest moments in your life, but it also comes with leaps and bounds of adjustments, pain and identity change. It isn’t all sunshine and roses and sometimes you feel like you don’t know who you are anymore and a deep disconnection to your life right now. Let me help you find YOU again and partner with you as you discover how that intertwines with you as a new mom.
We are all aware of the idealistic story of love at first sight, the greatest joy we will ever receive, and instant completion of our family. Postpartum depression and anxiety may initially prevent us from experiencing these joys. When this happens, feelings of shame and guilt arise and further strengthen overwhelm and sadness. I am here to tell you that you can get through this. You are not alone.
I am trained in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders through Postpartum Support International PSI (www.Postpartum.net -it's a great resource for new parents), and am here to support you as a new parent, if you have a desire to become a parent, through the often invisible grief of miscarriage, as well as wanting a safe place to process whether or not being a parent is something that you want in life.
