As a non-licensed practitioner, I cannot legally claim to work with anxiety (because it’s a diagnosable condition). That said, I’ve have several effective tools to help clients who are anxious (officially diagnosed or not) and can almost guarantee dramatic improvement when clients are willing to do some homework to empower themselves.
In my experience, typical talk therapy only goes so far. Many people who suffer from anxiety are empaths or HSPs (highly sensitive people). If you are, that needs to be addressed first. And when clients grow up in a dysfunctional family environment that makes anxiety a way of life, it gets “wired” into the brain. I approach anxiety with this in mind, starting with nutritional support, and then help clients use tools that “rewire” the brain. There's no reason to go through life with more worry and stress than it already has!

If anxiety is casting a shadow over your daily life, seeking psychotherapy can be a transformative step towards finding relief and building resilience. Anxiety can manifest in various ways, including persistent worry, fear, and physical symptoms such as tension and restlessness. In therapy, you'll have a supportive and confidential space to explore the root causes of your anxiety, identify triggers, and develop effective coping mechanisms. A skilled therapist can provide practical tools, such as relaxation techniques and cognitive-behavioral strategies, to manage anxious thoughts and behaviors. Together, you and your therapist can work towards understanding and challenging irrational fears, ultimately fostering a sense of control and well-being. Seeking psychotherapy for anxiety reflects a proactive commitment to your mental health, offering a personalized journey towards greater calmness and a more balanced life.

Creating a holistic treatment plan for anxiety involves addressing the physical, psychological, social, and lifestyle factors that contribute to the individual's symptoms.
Comprehensive Assessment: We'll begin with a thorough assessment to understand the individual's symptoms, triggers, medical history, and personal goals.
Psychotherapy: We'll incorporate evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), or mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) into sessions. These approaches help individuals identify and challenge negative thought patterns, develop coping strategies, and cultivate mindfulness skills to manage anxiety symptoms.
Medication Management (if applicable): We'll consider medication such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs), or other psychotropic medications based on the severity of symptoms and individual needs.
