Marriage and Family Therapist, Marriage and Family Therapist
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist with over 15 years experience helping adolescents, family, couples and individuals reach a happy and fulfilling life. I provide a safe and compassionate environment where I welcome any experience with no judgments, no matter what the struggle is.
Life is full of loss. Maybe someone close to you has a died or a significant relationship recently ended. Some loss is expected, and at other times completely out of the what might be anticipated. There is no right way to grieve; I will help support you in your natural process. Integrating ritual and body-centered therapy, I will help you move through the waves of grief to honor your loved one and build resilience. I specialize in working with complicated grief and moral injury.
I have supported hundreds of couples over the past 15+ years who are navigating grief and loss, and look forward to helping you get your relationship where you want it to be. Poor communication? Broken trust? Endless arguments? I look forward to hearing from you.
Therapy can provide that space to discuss your process and how loss has impacted you. As your therapist, I will hold space with you and honor your experiences however they arrive.
I enjoy helping clients accept and like themselves, organize around strengths, achieve greater emotional presence, think clearly, and let go of shame, guilt and old habits of emotional survival. I believe therapy should lead to better decisions, as well as improved quality of life and relationships.
For many years, I worked in animal rescue and animal welfare in the Bay Area. I volunteer with Muttville Senior Dog Rescue in San Francisco, California, and rescue senior dogs. As someone who has loved and lost two senior dogs over the past several years, I understand the pain that comes with losing a companion animal. If your loved one passed over the rainbow bridge, you are not alone. This space will honor your grief and support you in your journey.
Grief and loss are something we all face, but they are unique to each of us. I know loss can be challenging. From death, breakups, and job loss to aging, grief, and loss come in different forms. You are not alone; therapy can help you move through and forward.
Grief/loss can seem too much to bear in moments- the support of a trusted other can facilitate the healing process where it may get stuck. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
