Psychologist, Licensed Psychologist, MD , Psy.D.
Since starting virtual therapy three years ago, I’m no longer able to work with small children. I do however treat several teen/emerging young adults in their development and identity formation. Older people are greatly encouraged too!

Dr. Patricia Webbink
Psychologist, MA and PhD in Clinical Psychology
I was trained in Child and Adolescent Psychology at Duke University, and did a child and adolescent internship at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. For many years, I have offered individual, family and group psychotherapy for children and adolescents in the Washington, DC metro area. I also work with their parents and I coordinate with their schools and universities, as needed. Now I work globally with online networks, so I am not constrained by distance. I have led groups for children of divorce as well.
I offer regular free zoom seminars every few weeks, which are appropriate for adolescents and adults. My approach involving relaxation, music and imagery can provide a way of healing for children of all ages using their imagination. Over the years I have dealt with bed-wetting, encopresis, nightmares, learning disabilities, autism and Asperger’s, selective mutism, behavioral and school problems. Children are often resilient and respond well to psychotherapy. Please feel free to call for more information: 301-229-8000.

When this is a presentation for our patients, we look to better understand what may be contributing to this. If this is something that wants to be addressed, and if so, how and when. Pacing is the key here.
