Tired of being pathologized and feeling isolated? You are not alone. Traumatic experiences are common yet unique to each person. While each person possesses unique resources and skills, trauma responses (fight, flight, freeze, fawn) can throw one off balance from their consistent, preferred way of living. I am a registered psychotherapist (Q), practicing under the supervision of Christine Contant (RP, CTIC). My counselling and psychotherapy background consists of two years of behavioral counselling for individuals who experience developmental differences and one year (2019-2020) of experience providing supervised evidence-based trauma-informed psychotherapy (DBT, narrative therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, cognitive processing, somatic experiencing) at the Centre for Treatment of Sexual Abuse and Childhood Trauma (CTSACT) from September 2019-to 2020. Currently, I practice online (private practice) and in-person while I complete my MC graduate thesis on parents' reflections of high-conflict co-parenting before, during and throughout the COVID-19 pandemic with Athabasca University.

Our post-Covid world affects us all emotionally. Fear, anxiety and anger are all coming out. Our sense of safety has been shaken. Re balancing under constant uncertainty is a challenge. Please reach out to debrief and process how our new world is affecting you and your family. Be patient with yourself and those around you, the chaos and uncertainty makes all of us emotional and sensitive. You are reacting normally to a monumental change to your lifestyle and life plans. As a Work-Life Balance Coach, I offer coaching and therapeutic psychotherapy for impactful results and peace of mind. As a clinical counselor & life coach for over 20 years, I help people overcome life barriers to reach their full potential. Our fast-paced careers and chaotic personal lives can cause burnout. Learning to balance often takes a few honest conversations with an unbiased and non-judgmental counselor to regain control of your competing demands. I use a variety of therapeutic models to assist you in finding peace and happiness. I customize our sessions to meet your needs and teach you simple ways to be mindful and control your emotional well-being. My experience, education, and skills will help you handle the stress and challenges daily life and work can create. Currently accepting new clients. Therapy is the journey of becoming free to be ourselves. Instead of becoming a better version of ourselves, we can connect to who we are at our core, without the coping mechanisms we unconsciously took on to survive. These ways of coping, often wired into our brain and nervous system, can show up differently for each person. For you, it might be perfectionism, procrastination, an inner critic, low self-esteem or anxiety, to name a few. My approach combines the best of practical psychology, science and grounded spiritual psychology. I make the roots of complex emotions, behaviours and addictions accessible and actionable so that you can achieve sustainable change and true transformation. I am trained in Compassionate Inquiry, a psychotherapeutic approach developed by Dr. Gabor Maté that reveals the patterns beneath how we present to the world amongst other psychotherapeutic modalities. Through Compassionate Inquiry you begin to recognize the unconscious patterns, which show up as triggers, traumas and ways of coping and suppressing emotions, and how to become free from them. I support clients to reconnect with their bodies, via somatic experience. Benefits include, relief of symptoms of chronic pain, anxiety, depression and addiction. Soulful Therapy is a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to psychotherapy and an effective way to begin down the path of introspection. It is a place to process what’s going on in your present, make sense of your past, or explore factors that may guide choices to cultivate a life that feels self-compassionate, vibrant, and authentic above all else.
