Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Individual, Marriage, and Family Therapist (LMFT)
Social anxiety can often feel like an unwelcome burden and that it keeps life more limited than you would like. I will support you in reliving these symptoms through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to first build tools to better manage symptoms in the present and will follow that with psychodynamic work to support greater insight and lasting change.
I treat social anxiety using CBT and DBT methodology. These methodologies are used to examine our behaviors and learn the management of our big feelings.
It feels like we all have anxiety at this point, right? Especially after COVID - so let's get down to it. I have years of experience working with teens, young and middle-aged adults in overcoming the symptoms of social anxiety - whether that is due to interacting in specific situations, more general public environments, or anything in between. Assisting my clients with building insight and understanding into your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors is an essential part of overcoming social anxiety, and I provide evidence-based practice tools that you can use outside of therapy as well.
I am passionate about providing a safe and welcoming space where you can be open about your worries so we can work through them together. Click that contact button and we can schedule a free consultation call today!

My approach to working with social anxiety involves integrating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Somatic Experiencing (SE). ACT helps clients accept their social fears and anxieties without judgment, and commit to actions that reflect their values and goals. EMDR is used to process and resolve past traumatic experiences or negative social encounters that contribute to their anxiety, reducing the emotional intensity of these memories. SE addresses the physiological responses to social anxiety, helping clients release stored tension and regain a sense of calm and balance in social situations. This comprehensive approach supports clients in overcoming social anxiety, building confidence, and improving their overall quality of life.
Do social interactions cause intense fear and self-consciousness? Sometimes these feelings can be debilitating. With extensive training and experience working in a Los Angeles-based group practice, my specializations include expertise in social anxiety. I offer a 15 min free consultation, feel free to reach out to see if we're a good fit!
I can assist clients with addressing social anxiety with cognitive behavioral therapy approaches. This approach addresses thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and behaviors that often underlie social anxiety. When these factors are shifted in a positive direction, this can have significant benefits for social anxiety.
