Having a child with Oppositional Defiance Disorder and anger management issues and working in schools with these issues I have experience to assist in creating goals, I provide a warm and inviting place to work through these challenges together.
Allowing anger to be present and understanding what the real need may be underneath can be supportive in working with anger and using it as a beautiful ally rather than a destructive force.
Counsellor/Therapist, Master of Counselling and Applied Psychotherapy, Advanced Clinical Skills in Gestalt Psychotherapy
I work with clients not only to manage anger, but to explore the reasons why they feel it 'manages' them. By exploring the origins and associations of the anger, we work together to reduce and diffuse it.
In therapy, I support clients in navigating the process of anger management, assisting them in understanding its roots while exploring alternative ways to express frustration or needs. Together, we develop effective strategies to regulate emotions, fostering a sense of empowerment and control in facing life's challenges.
