Sometimes we are our harshest critics. Feelings of worthlessness, excessive worrying of not being good enough, being very sensitive to criticism are hard to deal with, and seeking for therapy is the first step to overcoming low self-esteem.
I can help you identify and challenge your inner critic, help you find value in yourself and better the relationship you have with yourself. I will help you tune into your innermost qualities, allow you to recognize your strengths and potential and be kind and loving to yourself.
All our therapists can work with you around esteem issues, to build you into a stronger, more confident place. Contact our Intake Worker to help determine who will be the best fit for you.
Through inner-child work and re-parenting we will enhance self-esteem by both acknowledging your most vulnerable aspects (the child), and through protecting it through your inner parent. By healing oneself through oneself we will understand the true inner strength inside each of us which will enhance our self-esteem.
Struggles with self-worth can affect every aspect of life, from personal relationships to professional endeavours, affecting how you view and treat yourself. Together, we will uncover the roots of your self-esteem struggles, challenge negative self-talk, and cultivate a more compassionate and empowering self-narrative. This journey is about building a stronger, more positive relationship with yourself, enhancing your confidence, and empowering you to live authentically and fully.

Recently, I was watching a video clip of Brene Brown, the renowned social worker and shame researcher. She talked about empathy as the antidote to shame. Whereas shame that is hidden is permitted to grow and thrive, shame that is shared with an understanding and empathic ear has the opportunity to transform. My hope is that if you're struggling with negative feelings about yourself, you'll be able to share your thoughts and feelings with me when you feel safe to do so.
