The emotional ups and downs of life can be overwhelming to an individual and disruptive to the stability of interpersonal relationships. My techniques focus on improving clients' ability to set and maintain healthy boundaries, providing training in effective emotional regulation techniques, and guiding clients to explore and process memories of past hurts and traumas which may continue to haunt them in the present.

BPD is a disorder that causes great difficulty in emotional regulation and emotional control. There can be extreme mood swings, emotional outbursts, impulsive anger, turbulent relationships and idealization and devaluation. BPD can mimic other disorders, thus it is often misdiagnosed and misunderstood. There is a belief that it is centered around emotional manipulation, yet that is not the case. There is a very high comorbidity with other issues such as substance abuse or self-harm as well. Suicidality is high among BPD due to the consensus that they see the world in only stark black and white, without the ability to reference and evaluate how things actually are. Therapy can greatly impact BDP symptoms and provide relief from this disorder.

As a psychologist specializing in borderline personality disorder (BPD), my treatment approach is comprehensive, empathetic, and tailored to the unique needs of each individual. Utilizing evidence-based therapies such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), schema therapy, and psychodynamic therapy, I collaborate closely with clients to address emotional dysregulation, interpersonal difficulties, and identity disturbances characteristic of BPD. Through skill-building exercises, emotion regulation techniques, and exploration of past experiences, we work together to develop coping strategies and promote self-awareness. Additionally, I emphasize the importance of establishing a trusting therapeutic relationship and providing validation and support throughout the healing process. My goal is to empower individuals with BPD to cultivate stability, improve relationships, and lead fulfilling lives.
