I have worked with depressive disorders. If you experience sadness and lack of interest, we will work together to employ strategies to improve your outlook and functioning.
At New Dimensions, we have assembled a team of professionals that is dedicated to helping people transform their lives. Our mental health professionals are committed to providing the best treatment possible so that you can overcome the obstacles that keep you from having the life that you want.
Depression can feel isolating, overwhelming and all-consuming. Through a solution-focused lens, we can identify negative thought patterns and encourage healthy coping strategies that will help you start to feel like yourself again.
I have extensive experience working with clients struggling with depression in residential treatment facilities, inpatient psychiatric facilities and outpatient mental health settings. I also serve as Clinical Director for a co-occurring disorder treatment center.
Depression can be situational or clinical. Broadly speaking, situational depression is caused by unmet needs (sometimes controllable, sometimes not), while clinical depression can be caused by a chemical imbalance. Both can be helped in therapy by regaining control of our decisions, reframing perspectives, and improving our ability for self-care.
Feeling overwhelmed and in a dark and lonely place? I am here to help you climb out from under your dark cloud. We can work on self-care methods using everyday techniques to help manage the symptoms of depression.

People with Depression often believe there is something wrong with themselves, sometimes unable to identify that depression is coloring the way they see themselves and the world. Compassionate therapy, psychoeducation and behavioral changes can address depression. Medication along with therapy have proven to be very effective.
Depression has a dangerous tendency to build upon itself. As a result, normal life tasks such as work and relationships start to fall by the wayside. Eventually, doing the bare minimum creates new problems, which cause stress and worsening depression. We will work together to explore the underlying causes of your depression and develop coping mechanisms, resilience, and a renewed sense of hope.
