Darlene Witcher Practice Description
When we meet you can expect to discuss thoughts, feelings, and behaviors which are troubling and have brought you to therapy. Initially, I strive to guide you to developing coping strategies which will decrease distress. You will learn how to identify thoughts that give rise to unpleasant feelings and are associated with unwanted behaviors. As the level of distress decreases, we can determine if further exploration of the underlying contributing factors is desired or warranted. To be maximally effective, these efforts should be collaborative rather than unidirectional. In other words, working together will produce the best outcome. I will look forward to assisting you in this endeavor.
