John Fry
Psychologist, Ph.D.
Three-quarters of my clients use my services for 5 to 20 sessions to achieve their therapy goals. I use the cognitive behavioral therapy approach because of its impressive results in therapy research. I enjoy my work, seeing people move their lives forward to enjoy their lives more, becoming happier, more at ease with themselves, creating better relationships, and having more fulfillment.

Congratulations on starting the therapist search process! I know this one is not easy from personal experience. It is important that you relate to someone on a deep level, in order to meet your personal goals. I approach all of my therapy from a trauma lens and with respect and care.

I'm a marriage and family therapist specializing in trauma therapy and helping people work through anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and grief. I'm licensed in Utah and California, and provide support for individuals who experience emotional suffering due to traumatic, past events. The goal in trauma treatment is to help individuals move through fear, panic and worry, seeing danger around every corner, and learn to reset the nervous system, in order to feel safe, empowered, and valued. Additionally, I provide couples counseling to increase communication, feelings of safety, and increased intimacy.
