Emotional abuse therapy, known as Emotional Abuse Counseling, is a specialized field dedicated to helping individuals recover from the deep and often invisible scars left by psychological maltreatment. This therapeutic approach is essential for those who have experienced manipulation, belittlement, and control, often leading to diminished self-esteem and pervasive feelings of worthlessness. In being a trauma-informed therapist, I use techniques such as Heartmath Principles that support individuals in building and strengthening resilience, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), meditation and other mindfulness practices to help clients recognize abusive patterns, rebuild self-confidence, and develop healthy emotional responses and supporting survivors in reclaiming their sense of self and fostering long-term emotional resilience.
