People truly begin to heal the moment they feel heard and understood. We are committed to providing all individuals the compassion, unconditional support, and helpful insight through the counseling process. In this space, you have the freedom to safely express your feelings, thoughts, experiences, life stresses, and desires. As the therapy deepens, we have found the therapeutic relationship grows and individuals will begin to find relief from emotional distress, improve personal relationships, develop insight into observed behavioral patterns and symptoms, and address the concerns that initially brought them to see us. We would love the chance to work alongside you. So if you need help, we are here to help.

Oh hey! This browsing for a child/teen therapist thing is exhausting, isn't it? Something tells me your kid's B.S. meter is more sensitive than your average bear...so a blank-slate, nice-looking therapist with pictures of rocks and lotuses might not cut it, no matter how many results-driven promises they make. You know you need someone who can balance a playful spirit with long-term improvements that will carry your quirky kid into adulthood. For better or for worse, this process is a lot like gardening...the hard way. The kind where you plant seeds, knowing that literal years will pass before you see that plant bear fruit. Fortunately, I love getting my hands in some dirt. Can't wait to join your family in this wild ride! You can learn more about my work and my approach by visiting my website.

In my therapeutic approach, I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), having completed the foundational training through the Linehan Institute and contributing to CCG's comprehensive DBT team. My toolkit also includes Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Client-Centered, Solutions Focused, Trauma-Informed, and Psychodynamic modalities, with a willingness to integrate faith and spirituality into sessions upon client request. As a Resident in Counseling in Virginia and a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in Maryland, my priority is to establish a secure and collaborative environment, drawing on my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University. Being a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and Chi Sigma Iota, I bring a wealth of expertise to my practice. My professional journey includes serving diverse populations at a group practice, where I supported first responders, medical staff, military personnel/veterans, international humanitarian workers, law enforcement, and journalists. I've worked with individuals facing fertility and prepartum/postpartum challenges and implemented social-emotional learning for refugee children in Germany. Beyond my counseling role, I find joy in outdoor activities, travel, culinary exploration, and quality time with my husband.

Are you experiencing difficulty with life adjustments or social connectedness? I am passionate about working with those who are struggling with eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, grief, relational and social difficulties, and members of the LQBTQIA+ community. I believe that the foundation of developing an authentic self is understanding the body's response to life experiences and understanding how it functions under stress. Together, we will create a safe, supportive, and trauma-aware space to begin healing. In settings such as partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient, I have worked with adults and teens experiencing binge eating, purging, anorexia, orthorexia, excessive exercise, OSFED, ARFID, and body image issues. Throughout sessions, I complete evaluations to determine whether you or a loved one requires more intensive/supportive eating disorder treatment. In addition, I complete bariatric evaluations that are required for the surgical process. This service helps determine readiness, address any concerns about underlying eating disorder behavior, provide pre/post therapeutic support, and explore alternatives to surgery. I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to assist patient's needs and use collaborative methodologies to facilitate supportive communication, reconnection, problem solving, and positive decision-making with teens, adults, and families. I hope to hear from you and look forward to jump starting your mental health journey.
