I have a strong faith and, when invited, am willing to work with individuals to bring faith into the counseling process. Often, the faith someone has can lay a foundation for the stability they need to make the changes necessary.
As a Christian therapist, I incorporate a faith-based therapy approach if the individual wishes. We can talk about how faith can be a resource to the healing that happens. I also work with all faiths. The client's faith needs are important to recovery.
Therapist, LIMHP CPC AND OTHER LICENSE IN TN, MN, KS, IA, NJ
I have an extra Masters degree in Christian Counseling along with my Masters of Arts in Community Counseling. I have served as an on call Chaplain for 7 years at a hospital.
Being a Christian psychologist myself, this is an area of support that can harmoniously intertwine both faith and mental health. The integration of faith alongside fallabilities and areas one wants to work on can vary greatly. We would work together to determine how this looks.
