Angela Carter, FNP-BC

Psychiatric Nurse/Therapist, FNP-BC
Greetings! I'm Angela Carter, a devoted Family Nurse Practitioner and the proud proprietor of Covenant Family Care. My commitment to fostering health and well-being has led me to deliver comprehensive, patient-focused care tailored to individuals and families across all life stages. Armed with a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University and a diverse background as a bedside nurse specializing in respiratory and neurology critical care, I bring a wealth of experience to my practice. My healthcare journey began with an Associate Degree in Nursing from Forsyth Technical Community College, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oklahoma Wesleyan University, culminating in a Master's Degree from Walden University. At Covenant Family Care, we embrace the convenience of modern healthcare by offering virtual consultations and home visits throughout North Carolina. Before establishing my practice, I served the community at North State Medical Center, focusing on primary care for all age groups. Beyond my professional pursuits, I actively contribute through volunteer work at local organizations such as Elevation Church-Matthews, Free Clinic Matthews, and Ground40 in Monroe. My most enjoyable and significant role is being a mother to my 13-year-old son. We delight in attending his soccer games and seizing beach opportunities when our schedule permits. Our days are further enriched by the presence of a 7-year-old Dalmatian and a 9-month-old German Shepherd puppy. I am dedicated to cultivating strong, trusting relationships with my patients and committed to guiding you toward optimal health with kindness and expertise. Let's embark on this journey together!

Licensed Mental Health Counselor, LMHC
Life is tough. If you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or out of rhythm by the complexity and challenges life may present; I can and will help you. My name is Damon Neely. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and veteran who is most passionate about helping men navigate the challenges of 21st century manhood. I specialize in working with young-adult and middle-aged men struggling with anxiety and depressive symptoms related to past, present, and future stressors, or events. I left the managed care industry after six years to pursue a full-time career in mental health counseling. My pursuit in growing my practice has fulfilled my lifelong desire to help others. I had a desire to make an impact helping others from early childhood. I was the youngest of seven children and I believe that through that experience I developed the power of observation and curiosity. Those traits are fundamental to being a good therapist as well as a good client. I have an existential focus in my practice that presumes that all individuals seek meaning, purpose, and self-actualization. I believe that anxiety and depression are symptoms that derive from a lack of meaning and purpose. I address men’s issues including perfectionism, unrealistic expectations, feelings of failure, low self-worth, self-acceptance, values towards life decisions, relational issues towards spouse/partner, social skills, anger management, emotional regulation, role specification, fatherhood, meaning/purpose, and identity. Moreover, I am a prior service veteran and I enjoy collaborating with veterans as they transition and adjust to civilian life. My integrative approach is designed to help you achieve your goals/objectives and shine insight onto whatever issues are troubling you. Ultimately, I believe you are on a journey towards, self-compassion, self-acceptance, self-worth, and authenticity. Even though I am trained in several theoretical orientation, my best traits include empathy, compassion, and being non-judgmental.

As a neurodivergent therapist, I enjoy working with adults who are exploring or have recently discovered that they are ADHD, autistic, or both. We can find ways to adapt the world to better suit you instead of trying to fit into neurotypical standards. Learn how to improve your connections with others, strategies to regulate emotions, increase motivation, find more fulfillment at your job, and even experience moments of joy. I also specialize in grief, childhood, and religious trauma.
