Counsellor/Therapist, OT Reg. (Ont.), Psychotherapist
The loss of a loved one is the most painful experience we are forced to endure as humans. You may be feeling as though the death of your loved one has changed your life completely and that you are having a difficult time adjusting. Your loss may be making it difficult for you to find someone to turn to. You may be a good fit for Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), which explores how the loss of a loved one can lead to depression and isolation. It may cause you to have difficulties with other relationships as well, such as your spouse. IPT will help you process your loss and identify how you may be able to fill the gap that you may be feeling with respect to your relationships and supports. You may also be a good fit for different type of treatment - call to inquire.

Grieving the loss of a loved one or something precious to you can be very difficult. Each person’s experience of grief is unique to them, and everyone grieves in their own way and in their own time. In therapy with me, you will be able to explore your experience of grief in a safe space, consider the different emotions and impacts the loss might be having on your life, and develop a new relationship or story about the loss you experienced. Schedule a free consultation with me to see if we are a good fit.
